the only narrative-meets-neuroscience funny non-comedian who makes BUSINESS more fun.

I work with teams, founders, creatives, scientists and entrepreneurs. As a speaker, workshop facilitator, narrative strategist & brain coach. OH MY.

  • Did I stutter? LOLOL just jokes just jokes.

So yeah, I’m a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator and what you’re probably really wondering when you see the above is

“BUT WHAT IS NARRATIVE STRATEGIST & BRAIN COACH”?

That means I help you clarify your thinking and make those thoughts come alive as things you want to see in the world.

  • Yes, I help you turn your thoughts into things. Like turning your app idea into an actual app. Pitching your product idea to a multibillion-dollar corporation and getting them to fund it. Telling a story about your strategic vision and getting executives to back it and teams to execute it. Pretty cool. All true.

  • I use what I call StoryScience® which is my blend of applied neuroscience, psychology, strategic narrative and play. It took years to study and develop and I’m really proud because it’s helped a lot of brilliant people remember how brilliant they are and make really cool stuff happen.

In short I get you to clarify the story of something that you want to create. That could be like a literal product, a way of being (more clear and confident, for example), a change in your enterprise or career.

Then I help you craft, articulate and activate the strategy that proves to your brain you can make it happen.

Hi, I’m jocelyn.

AKA “Jocelyn Brady the Brain Lady.” AKA “The Bill Nye for Neuroscience.” AKA the one you call to clarify what’s on your mind and make changes happen without them feeling horrendous. Woo!

(Brains resist change. But crave novelty! Oh, the webs we weave.)

Anyway. That’s me over there in this teaser video of my talks. I was told they’re like a combination of a rock concert, stand up comedy and TED talk which almost feels like a compliment doesn’t it.

  • I have an MFA in Creative Nonfiction Writing which obviously qualifies me to have strong opinions. I also have a collection of coaching certifications from NeuroLeadership, Tiny Habits, the Center for Human Potential. And certificates in Irrational Labs (behavior design), Narrative Economics, the Science of Well-Being, Compassionate Communication. Sigh. List is long let’s move on to more bragging.

I was first published at the age of 9, sold my first products at the age of 11 (eat my lollipops, world), started my first business at 24 which grew into a consultancy for multinational brands, CMOs and projects like cobranding a thing with Simon Cowell and overseeing a Super Bowl script.

I’m also the cofounder of MAD Warfare with a cognitive neuroscientist working in defense intelligence—we dissect how our minds are under siege and what to do about it.

I am however very bad at managing my laundry and demand someone invent a packing robot because I don’t code or have a trust fund otherwise I’d build said robot myself. You can’t get everything in life.

FANCY BRAND EXPERIENCE (keynote Speaker, Facilitator, Strategic Story Advisor)

MOST REQESTED

I’ve been called many things. “The one who gave me the courage to be myself” is probably my favorite. But you know, pick your flavor:

  • I’m a storyteller at heart with a love of making science fun and applicable. My talks and workshops are adaptable which is why they’re beloved by Corporate Executives, Creative Directors, Engineers, Tech Companies, Scientists and Entrepreneur Groups.

Here’s a sample of what I can offer:

    The Art of StoryScience®️
How to tell stories brains love so you can win business and create more stuff you’re proud of. I’ll teach you my ACT Framework™️ which is really handy for every strategic story you tell. You’ll laugh. You might cry. You’ll probably thank me for it all. And you’ll walk away with really clear tools to make your narratives and communication do more for you.

    The Play Imperative
What basically every genius on the planet understood was that PLAY is absolutely essential for coming up with your best ideas and working with people to make them happen. Problem is, play is treated like a four-letter word in most businesses. Time to get over it and get into more flow with science-backed tools to get your brain playing to its potential.

Make Change Stick More (And Suck Less)

Why do most changes fail? Because BRAINS HATE THEM. They might even sound like great ideas. But unless you’ve figured out how to make them work the way our brains want, the effort will feel like EVIL and most people will resist and resent even the best of intentions. Let’s dig into what the science has to teach us about overcoming our brain’s naughty tricks and how to tickle it into making the changes most important to us.

    FOR COMPANIES:

My Signature talks and workshops start at $15,000 plus a RT First Class ticket. Please book at least 90 days in advance. If you’re a scientific community, educational organization, creative group or nonprofit, let’s talk and see what budget works for you.

  • You have a big vision or a BIG ITCH but can’t quite figure out how to articulate or activate it?

    That’s my jam.

I help founders, executives, creatives, scientists and entrepreneurs translate and clarify what’s in their head to what makes the world go HOT DAMN.

Packages typically start at $5,000. That includes working directly together for several weeks. If that’s out of your range right now, just hit me up and let’s see if we can make something work in your budget.

  • I’ve hosted and produced shows with the likes of talent from Conan, Colbert and Comedy Central. Plus big honking Fortune 100 enterprises. (And I’m the cohost of a podcast about modern warfare with a neuroscientist who works in intelligence so you know, better be nice to me.)

Corporate? Comedy? Government? I know how to straddle worlds and give your audience a good time no matter the guidelines. Try me.

  • I’ve produced award-winning film shorts, worked on a giant ear and mouth that had elderly talking to kindergarteners (just ask), am the co-founder of a think-tank, and studied human-animal relationships for my graduate thesis. If you have a “weird” and wonderful project that needs to exist but you’ve been needing clarity or support, well… I’m sayin’ there’s a chance.
